Moonlight Dwelling

"She's transitioning.

Elena looked at Stefan having no clue what he was talking about.

"Into what?"

Stefan paused before speaking. 

"Vicki's turning into a shrimp."

Elena was confused because she would have thought that Vicki would turn into a vampire.

"Damon didn't turn her although he did drink her blood."

"You mean something else attacked her."

"I found shrimp in the cemetery where she usually hangs out. After Damon drank from her it attacked her while she was unconscious."

"So how do we help her?"

Stefan wasn't sure that Vicki could be helped since it was more likely that she'd end up eaten when she turned into a plate of yummy shrimp. Just the thought of it made his fangs hurt. By the look on Elena's face he knew she saw the changes that came over him when he was hungry.

"Stefan did you um drink today?"

"Yeah I had some squirrel blood earlier."

Elena really didn't want to hear about that although it was better than him snacking on one of her friends.

"Sounds good."

"Sorry about that."

Stefan thought about a way to change Vicki back but he couldn't think of one. Maybe a witch could help reverse it but it might already be too late. Very soon Vicki would have the urge to swim and once she did that there was no turning back.

"What are you thinking Stefan?"

"A witch might be able to reverse this."

Elena thought about calling Bonnie since her Grams was supposed to be a witch.

"Excuse me I need to make a call."

Elena called Bonnie and asked about her Grams. She told her what had happened. Bonnie said she'd ask Grams about a way to reverse it and get back to her as soon as she could.

"Bonnie's going to ask her Grams if there's a way to help Vicki."

Elena hated the waiting. She was worried about Jeremy because he really seemed to care about Vicki. Finally Bonnie called back.

"Grams told me that you have to give her lots of lemonade. After she drinks about a pitcher's worth she needs to dance under the light of the moon which should prevent her from turning into shrimp."

"Thanks Bonnie."

Elena hung up and went into the kitchen to make some lemonade. She was glad when she found some, Jenna had bought some so she could try lemonade Margaritas which were pretty tasty.

"I'll get Vicki."

Stefan went upstairs where Vicki was resting. Jeremy was sitting beside her.

"We need to get her downstairs."

They led Vicki downstairs and into the kitchen. She sat down and Elena gave her some lemonade.

"Drink up."

Vicki who had been silent up until now said, "What?"

"You have to drink this to help make you feel better."

Vicki drank the whole pitcher and felt like she would explode. She had to pee so Elena helped her to the bathroom. After they took her outside and Elena told her to dance.

"I feel like swimming."

"No Vicki you can't. Now start dancing."

Elena looked at Stefan who realized that it would help if there was some music on so he went inside and turned the radio on.

"Oh I love this song. Jer let's dance."

They danced under the moon while Stefan and Elena watched. It seemed to be working since Vicki didn't take off to go swimming. When the song ended Elena walked over to her and asked her how she felt.

"I feel great."

Elena wished everything could be solved with some lemonade and dancing under the moonlight. She thought she might try it herself one night when no one was around just in case she ended up looking like a fool.
